How to apply for a BMI policy

BMI has nearly fifty years of experience in the Latin American and Carribean markets and have developed a suite of products that cater to resident citizens and expats living in these regions. Their international health plans "give you worldwide coverage, excellent medical benefits, and access to the best clinics and hospitals in the world," according to their website. The benefits, deductible options, general information, hospitalization benefits, outpatient benefits, maternity benefits, other benefits, and additional optional coverage riders are explained on their website. Cigna Global offers insurance policies to global professionals, families, retirees, and students across the globe. According to their website, Cigna Global offers international health insurance for "globally mobile individuals, providing health care coverage, well-being services and international travel support. Cigna offers three levels of care in their international insurance policies: Silver, Gold, and Platinum, with prices and benefits increasing accordingly. They also offer a more economical plan called Close Care, which only works in your country of residence. It's important to note that this plan does not include medical evacuation, maternity care, or travel benefits. Guide to applying for international health insurance Applying for international insurance can be a complicated process due to a process called underwriting. Many of our clients from countries like the USA or Canada are not used having to do medical exams or provide in-depth medical history when applying for health insurance. We will work with you to ensure an accurate application to prevent any delays with the insurance provider. Start an application Underwriting The insurance company will then review your application with their medical committee and either make an offer on the policy, or make a request for more information. It is at this point that your medical records will prove most helpful, as the insurer may request them to have more information regarding your conditions. The more records you can show, the better your chances are for getting coverage. If you can't show records, insurers will generally assume the worst. Payment / Issuance Once you have accepted the policy, you will pay for the policy and it will be issued within a few business days. Your broker or the insurance company will send you a welcome email with your insurance cards and certificate of coverage, and instructions for loging on to their online portal, if applicable. How to apply for a Morgan White policy

Morgan White International offers its policy documents online here. From the About page, select your region: Caribbean Islands or Latin America. From there, use the drop-down menus to select your specific country, carrier, plan type (dental & vision, disability, life, medical, or savings & annuities), and then desired policy. MWG offers four types of international medical policys: New America, New World, Silver Medical, and Worldwide Medical Trust. Once you have selected your desired policy, you can download the related brochure and other policy documents from the forms library and application. You can fill out the downloaded application, print and sign in the required fields, scan the completed application back into your computer and email to [email protected].
